The 207th 2YC3 Web Site hosted by Florida State College at Jacksonville is temporarily off line.

Accommodations:

Within 3 miles from JAX curbside are 22 Hotel/Motels for 2YC3 Travelers all located on Airport Road heading toward I-95. Most provide free shuttle service to and from the airport or to River City Mall just east of I-95. 2YC3 travelers may be able to obtain lower rates through Online Travel websites, but most of these local hotels only have one or two rooms available through those websites for the cheaper rate, so go for it and book now!.

All 22 hotels are North Campus Commercial Partners, but 207th Accommodation's Team suggests two who have blocked rooms at a special conference rate, one high end and one budget priced:

Florida State College @ Jacksonville's North Campus:

On over a 150 acre wooded area, FSCJ's North Campus has outstanding facilities including the main campus, a sports complex, and the Criminal Justice Center. It is located about 7 miles from Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) curbside and between six to seven miles from JAX's 22 hotel/motel row, including a major shopping mall. FSCJ-North is about 8 to 10 miles north of downtown Jacksonville

Call for Proposals:

We would like invite 2YC3 faculty and friends to join us the celebration of the 57th anniversary of the event that rocked the world in 1957: Sputnik (October 4th, 1957). We have selected a theme to take us from 1957 to 2057 through the eyes of the chemical world and faculty who teach chemistry.

We are currently looking for colleagues who would like to contribute to our program by giving a presentation, leading a workshop, or participating in panel discussions.

We especially encourage topics related to our theme:

Since Sputnik Exploring e^5th: Entropy, Energy, the Environment, the Extraordinary, and Exodus Earth through Chemistry.

If you would like to present on a different topic, please do not hesitate to submit an abstract, as we encourage as diverse a program as possible.

The abstract should contain the following:

TITLE OF PRESENTATION (10 words or less)

Presenter's Name and Title; College/Company/Organization; City, State

Co-Presenter's Name and Title; College/Company/Organization; City, State

ABSTRACT (to be published in Conference Program--max 150 words) Please describe the purpose of the presentation, its application to the Conference theme and focus or to a different theme/topic.
